American sports

Hi guys! How are you? I hope you and your family are well!
It's been a long time since we last met!

🎿⛄How was your ski trip? Did you have a good time? What was the weather like? Did you learn to ski?

I hope to see you guys soon and to learn every little detail 😀  But in the meanwhile, we can keep in touch via the Internet!

🏉🏆🏀Let's keep on talking about sport! But forget the extreme sports or the dangerous & exciting activities we've learned in our unit 3.
Today's class is on American sports!

💭 Can you mention some typical American sports? Can you tell the difference between soccer and American football? Where is the baseball stadium in Rimini?
What was the name of our local baseball team?

Now, open your book: p. 198
Look and the pictures and the titles: try to guess what the content is about.

📺Let's watch a video now: it's on baseball.
Have you ever played baseball? Have you ever watched a baseball game?
Then, do the comprehension check: how many questions did you get right?
Watch the video again and answer the following questions:

1) Why is baseball considered "the national pastime in America"?
2) What do you need to play baseball?
3) How can you "score a home run" in baseball?
5) Who are the New York Yankees?
6) How long does a baseball game last?
7) What do baseball fans do when they go to a baseball game?

Scrivi le tue risposte nello stesso foglio word!

That's all for today!
Is this lesson difficult? Is there anything you don't understand? Is there anything you would change?

Please, let me know: write an email message or just say "hi" in the section "Post a comment" below!
Bye for now and take care 😀👋
