When we studied the British Empire (High Five 2 p. 216), we learnt that in India, Gandhi, a local leader, became very famous for his peaceful protest against Britain.

In this activity we are going to study Gandhi's biography and how deeply his principles and beliefs have influenced the civil rights movements across the world.

πŸ”Ž This activity is a "webquest": a kind of scavenger hunt (= caccia il tesoro) in which you look for specific information when visiting some websites.

Your mission? Print the text below and answer the questions!

πŸ’»To complete your mission, visit the websites below:

πŸ“ŒBiography #1 Read & listen to the text

πŸ“ŒBiography #2  Scroll down (= scorri in basso) to the section Civil Rights Leaders. Read & listen to the text

πŸ“ŒBiography #3

πŸ’» Now, use the information you've found to create a slideshow using a software like Powerpoint .

πŸ“’Then, get ready to talk about Gandhi's biography in front of the class and answer questions concerning his life and his non-violent protests.
