1. The Mona
Lisa disappeared from the Louvre on Monday, August 21st 1911.

museum employees discovered that the painting wasn’t in its usual place.

didn’t worry because they thought that the museum photographer was taking photos
of it in his studio.

museum officials called the police on Tuesday morning.

newspaper proclaimed that the thief was an American collector who wanted to
make a copy of the painting, return it to the museum and keep the original.

Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
10. He hid in the Louvre Museum on Sunday night . The following day he entered the room
where there was the painting, he took it off the wall and then cut the Mona Lisa from the frame. Finally, Vincenzo Perugia opened a locked
door with a knfe and walked out of the museum.
